Poster Design - Chobham Cricket Club

Growing up I spent most of my summer weekends at Chobham Cricket Club’s beautiful village ground, My dad has always been involved in the club, and my older brother used to play for the Juniors team, so we used to go as family watch the match. Although I have never been much of a cricketer myself I have always enjoyed the game, and have very happy memories of those summers!

Fast forward 25 years and my Dad is still pretty involved in the running of the club, and asked me to create them a poster, flyer and tickets for there upcoming Summer Party and village cricket day. Not really a visual type my dad’s only brief was "Something Retro" so I put my thinking cap on and came up with a 1950s inspired typographic design.

The posters were displayed in the village, and flyers handed out to club supporters. At last count 150 tickets had been sold raising some much-needed funds for the club! Here's hoping the weather stays good for Sunday, and everyone has a great time.
